BLACK CAT POMADE Scoops Easy Lays Heavy Matte Finish Strong Firm Hold Natural Ingredient Hair Oil Based Dixie Slick 4oz Grease

ABOUT THE POMADE:
We’ve been asked so many times over the years to create a soft scoopable product similar to say… “Royal Crown” or “Murray’s” where it’s soft and scoops like jelly and lays heavy in the hair like most old school pomades. Murray’s is not really scoopable but you get the idea where I was going :P Water based pomades come close to being that style but water based pomades are nothing like oil based and don’t act, look or wear anything like the others! We knew there had to be some way to bridge this gap and create an oil based pomade that was similar without the horrible ingredients found in both old school and new school pomades.

The problem is what makes Royal Crown, Murray’s and others like it have that kind of consistency is LOTS OF CHEMICALS, Petroleum by products and God knows what else they are telling you about that’s in there. To be honest, natural products just don’t really blend that way so it creates the problem of creating natural versions of unnatural things… not the easiest thing in the world!!! But by golly I think we’ve got a winner with this here pomade.
I was on a mission to create a similar product but be able to substitute natural, organic oils, butters and waxes. I’ve tried many times over the years to create a “GREASE/POMADE” that was like the old school ones in the sense that it laid really HEAVY and would give that nostalgic vibe but be a great “greaser” product that anyone could use and not just the guys rocking out to Social D or hanging at the car shows. The Black Cat pomade is MATTE, SOFT but with a great hold and it retains it’s hold far longer than even I would have expected! It’s truly a unique and one of a kind hair pomade that I find myself using far far far far more often than I would have ever expected.

When creating our Lone Wolf pomade I knew instantly we would have to create a similar one with a stronger hold. This is a completely different recipe for those who want a strong hold without a shiny finish. If you need a strong hold but want some shine you can always use a topper (like our brilliantine) our just add a shinier pomade (our Lone Wolf, Dead Elvis Grease etc..) lightly at the end.

Looking for a medium hold or maybe something similar that will make your hair nice and shiny and slick? When we created this product I knew right away I needed something with a much stronger hold for my liking so we created LONE WOLF POMADE for this reason. You can find it in our shop with the other pomades.

HOLD:
The Black Cat Pomade to me is more of a Firm/Strong hold without being hard and crunchy like a gel or some water based pomades are! It’s nice and easy to spread and the hold will last all day. It’s nice and easy to spread and the hold stays all day long!

SCENT:
Our “Signature” Scent covers all the bases. Since we sell many pomades and products to both Men and Women alike, we wanted a scent that wasn’t too masculine nor too feminine. A scent that you would smell and instantly wanna take if for a spin in your hair :P Let’s be honest when it comes to “perfumes” and “colognes” the scent is really for you since you are the one wearing it BUT that doesn’t mean your significant other won’t be getting up close and personal and catching a sniff :P

We took the classic barber shop style scent notes (powdery, floral, spicy) and subdued them so they wouldn’t be too powdery or soapy.

We then took our homemade Bay Rum we ferment and made a whole new batch leaving out any musk or over the top spice notes so you get a nice scent that’s not too strong and manly but touches on all those great classic scent notes your nose will recognize.

We finished this scent off with PURE SANDALWOOD oil, not fragrance oil or imitation. Anyone who knows that real and pure Sandalwood oil can be as expensive as gold! While expensive it finishes off this concoction perfectly and could not imagine it any other way.



JUST SOME VARIOUS INFO AND FAQ:

Auction is for one container, extra are pictured to give you an idea of the packaging and design. On occasion product packaging may change and be different than pictured. Sometimes our supplier will run out of a container, lid etc.. so please keep that in mind.packing color can change without notice, unfortunately once and awhile our supplier will run out of a certain color so we may substitute say "green" for "black" etc.. etc...

Unscented products are products without any added fragrance oil, there may be some residual "scent" from the ingredients. We offer most products without added scents for both folks with allergies and those who do not want perfumes and colognes in their products. Most products will have a drop down menu of available scents.

Scent Levels: We are committed to your health. We only scent our products to the lowest standard for any oils used. One scent oil might have a safe level of say 6% and another 1% but either way we always adhere to the safe level and never above. For this reason some scents might be very nuanced and not super strong.
